How I Will Be Miking My Drum Tuning Videos

I have often wondered how best to demonstrate to people (who are watching a video) what a drum sounds like while you're actually tuning it.  Most videos either use the same mic picking up the speaker or a mic(s) placed on the drum, but neither approach really demonstrates the sound of being in the room, tuning a drum.  Drums sound very different through close miking than they do to the human ear sitting a few feet above.

Here is a video explaining the miking technique I will be using whenever I do a drum tuning video to try to show people what the drum actually sounds like to the people in the room with the drum, not just the mic(s) that's on it.
